- Welcome to the final edition of RockstAR! A unique points-based multi-sport race with a “choose-your-own adventure“ format designed for racers of all levels. A four or eight-hour day of pure adventure racing excitement from which you and your teammates will walk away truly feeling like Rockstars that you are!
The RockstAR race format is one where the experience is entirely new each year. Unlike most adventure races which follow a pre-determined sequence of mandatory routes and disciplines, RockstAR teams are given the option to attempt any section of the course by any means of travel they choose. Each team has a maximum of four or eight hours to tackle a rogaine-style racecourse featuring multiple checkpoint options, where elements of strategy and decision-making are often equally weighted with speed and endurance.
Teams that reach the most checkpoints before the designated cut-off times will be ranked accordingly in their respective race categories. However, the RockstAR treatment doesn't end at the finish line - the post-race buffet and after-dark lakeside rock party is one that you will definitely want to stay for! Complete details are provided in the racer information packages available on the 'Race Day' tab above, or check out our FAQ's page for answers to the most frequently asked questions.Date:Saturday July 17 (8-hour race)

- Paddles, throw lines and bailers will be included with your rental. You may bring your own paddles if you choose.
- Of the many checkpoint options available on any given racecourse, several will include a "challenge" that must be completed in order to be credited with the value of the CP. None require any technical skill, and all equipment and supplies are provided. Some involve getting wet (ideal for cooling off from the July heat), some involve getting dirty, and some are just purely for fun!
- The RockstAR Family Category is open to teams of two, three or four in the 4-hour event with racers under 13 years of age. Eligible teams may self-select the Family Category as the race division they compete in, although it is a completely optional choice. Teams of four are permitted to paddle four in a canoe if they wish. Note that this 4’s option (as well as the option to paddle with four in one boat) is only available to Family teams.
The Family Category is broken into two separate groups in the official results, and in the post-race awards ceremonies. Pairs teams will be ranked as one group, and teams of three and four will be ranked together in the other. As with all other team categories, prizing will be awarded to the top finishers in each group, and medals to the top three.
Please note that if you are eligible but did not register under the family category at the point of registration, your team will be ranked among the regular all-male, all-female or coed race divisions.
