If you happen to be playing around on the internet anytime next Thursday to Sunday, have a peek at www.coastraid.com (click on the Union Jack in the top right corner for the english version). Team Salomon-Suunto (Pete Cameron, Andrew Cameron, Leanne Mueller and myself) will be attempting to keep pace with the international field of teams descending on the Lower North Shore of Labrador for a 4-day stage race starting Thursday morning. With a registration list that includes teams from France, Brazil, Italy, South Africa and the U.S. (including Team Quechua-Compagnie des Alpes; the group that beat out some of the world's best AR teams at this year's Mountain-X Race in France), we are expecting nothing less than an all-out hammer-fest!
Throughout the race we will be carrying GPS tracking units, which supposedly will be linked to live feeds on the website. I'm guessing that this will either show our progress on the Leaderboard, or show where the whales got us during some ocean inlet paddle... :)
